Who should I contact with questions about the website?

Contact Classy’s technical support by logging into your personal fundraising page! Classy is our new peer-to-peer fundraising software company and they will be able to give you the support you need when it comes to the fundraising website. You may send them an email, ask a question using the Chat Help Box or search their resource guides.

When does registration end?

Online registration will end on October 20, at 11:30 pm.

Is there a fundraising requirement?

Yes, there is a $250 fundraising minimum for all participants, including virtual climbers. Participants must have personally raised, contributed or pledged at least $250 before Friday, October 21 in order to climb and/or attend the event.The $250 minimum fundraising requirement combines a $50 non-refundable registration fee with an additional $200 donation made by or raised by the climber.

Your credit card information is not captured or saved during the registration process. You will be notified before October 21 about any remaining balance and ways in which to fulfill it.

We encourage everyone to fundraise beyond the $250 fundraising requirement —every little bit helps Her Justice clients!

If my team has raised a lot of money, but I have not reached the $250 fundraising minimum, can I still climb?

No, you cannot climb unless you personally raise, pledge or contribute at least $250 to the Story by Story® event.

What should I do if my company intends to underwrite some or all of my $250 fundraising requirement?

For climbers who are being financially sponsored by their firms, please make arrangements with your employer to be reimbursed for the $250 fundraising requirement or have your employer contact Her Justice (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to pay Her Justice directly. Your employer can cover the $250 requirement by check or credit card. What if someone wants to support my climb by giving me a check or cash?

Please download a hard copy of the donation form. Once the form is filled out, mail the check (and hard copy of the donation form) to Her Justice at 100 Broadway, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10005. Please discourage people from giving you cash. If you do receive cash, please deposit the cash in your bank account and write a check or money order payable to "Her Justice," then mail the check/money order to Her Justice (with the donation form, so it can be properly credited to the donor).

Are there any age restrictions? 

Climbers must be 16 or older by October 27, 2016.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

If I participated in Story by Story last year, can I use my old login information?

No, we have brand-new fundraising software which will not recognize your user name from previous years.

If I signed up as a virtual climber can I still go to the event?

Yes, please check in between 6:15–7:30 pm. Like actual climbers, virtual climbers must raise (or personally donate) at least $250 in order to attend the event. What should I wear at the event?

Please wear walking or running shoes and comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for exercise.

Will there be a Story by Story t-shirt for participants?

All registered climbers will receive a free t-shirt when they check-in at the event.

Will the event take place in the event of bad weather?

Yes, the event will take place rain, snow or shine.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes, water and snacks will be available along the climb route in the rest areas. More refreshments will be available during the finish line party. You may want to eat something light before arriving as well. If you have dietary restrictions or needs, please plan accordingly. Drinks and snacks are not allowed in the stairwell.

Where does the climb end?

All climbers will finish their climb on the 31st floor, inside the building.

Can I change my climb route when I arrive at the event?

Routes cannot be changed at the event. If you need to change your route or climber category, please contact Her Justice (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 646.442.1364) by Wednesday, October 19, 5:00 pm.

What if I get tired or don't feel well while climbing?

Climbers can take as many breaks as necessary in the rest area. Medical personnel will be located in the rest areas, as well as stationed throughout the building. An elevator will be available to anyone who is not able to continue climbing stairs. Climbers are not required to finish their route, just to do the best they can. If you choose to discontinue your climb for any reason, we do ask that you leave the stairwell and go to a rest area, for your safety and the safety of other climbers.

Can my friends and family (who are NOT registered to participate) come to the finish line party?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate guests who are not registered for the event.

Will photographs be taken at the event?

Yes, Her Justice photographers will be present during registration, the stair climb and the finish line party. Photos will be made available to all participants after the event.

By accepting the waiver upon registration, you have consented to be photographed at Story by Story. You are giving Her Justice permission to use your image on its web site, print pieces and social media outlets. If you do not wish to be photographed, please alert the Her Justice photographers during the event.
